Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with the Population and Family Planning Office (PPKB) of South Tapanuli Regency, the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) of North Sumatra Province, and the North Sumatra GenRe Forum, organised the Inauguration and Development Programme for the Management Board of the Indonesian Planned Generation Forum (FGI) of South Tapanuli Regency on August, 19th–20th – 2025, at Sopo Daganak, Napa Village. The initiative aims to establish the South Tapanuli GenRe Forum management and strengthen the capacity of School-based Youth Information and Counselling Centres (PIK-R) in reproductive health management and literacy.

The programme began with a roadshow and monitoring evaluation (monev) in schools led by the North Sumatra GenRe Forum, followed by the selection and development of GenRe Forum management candidates. This year, 156 school based GenRe counsellors were officially inaugurated for the 2025–2026 period. Fourteen representatives symbolically took their oath of office as management board members for the Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru sub-districts, representing 13 junior and senior secondary schools, with an additional two schools from Marancar sub-district.

“This activity is a tangible manifestation of Agincourt Resources’ commitment to the Community Development and Empowerment Programme (PPM), particularly in the field of adolescent health through the GenRe programme, which is aimed at young people aged 10–22 years to help them undergo a quality transition into adulthood. This includes adopting clean and healthy lifestyles, pursuing education, preparing for employment, participating in society, and marrying at an ideal age. Through the establishment of the GenRe Forum, the programme is expected to foster a Golden Generation that is highly educated, competitive, healthy, enters marriage in a planned manner, and contributes positively to society, while also preparing them to compete at provincial and national levels towards the 2045 Golden Generation,” said Agincourt Resources Community Development Manager, Rohani Simbolon.

Head of PPKB South Tapanuli Regency, Ibrahim Lubis, also expressed appreciation to Agincourt Resources for its role as a government partner in supporting strategic regional programmes. “The establishment of the GenRe Forum marks the first of its kind in South Tapanuli. This programme has the potential to protect young people from various risks, such as promiscuity and drug abuse. Let us support this initiative with enthusiasm to create a better young generation. We hope Agincourt Resources will continue to back positive programmes for the people of South Tapanuli,” he said.
