Transparency remains a cornerstone for Agincourt Resources in maintaining public trust in the operations of the Martabe Gold Mine. This commitment is reflected through regular monitoring and oversight of processed water quality, carried out in collaboration with the Joint Team for Water Quality Monitoring.

On Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, the Joint Team once again conducted water sampling at six points along the Batang Toru River and two points at the Water Polishing Plant (WPP), bringing the total to eight sampling sites. This process ensures that the quality of processed water consistently meets government regulatory standards.

Superintendent of Environmental Monitoring, Bayu Ariyanto, explained that all samples were sent to PT Intertek Utama Services, Jakarta, an accredited independent laboratory. “The laboratory results will be shared openly with the public by involving the joint team, which consists of academics, government representatives, and community members,” he said.

Regular monitoring of processed water quality has been carried out consistently since 2013, based on Agincourt Resources’ environmental documents and Ministerial Decree of Environment and Forestry (Kepmen LHK) No. 202 of 2004. Monthly monitoring is conducted on site, with quarterly laboratory testing. Parameters assessed include pH, TSS, free cyanide, and dissolved metals (Cu, Cd, Zn, Pb, As, Ni, Cr, Hg).
Beyond government and academic participation, representatives from 15 surrounding villages are also directly involved, reflecting independence and transparency. Through this openness, Agincourt Resources reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the Batang Toru River while ensuring that mining operations remain sustainable.
