Improving adolescent health and education has become a key focus for Tapanuli Selatan Regency. To support this goal, the Forum Generasi Berencana (GenRe) Tapanuli Selatan organised an educational and engaging programme for students. The event, titled GenRe Goes to School and Fun Day, took place at SMP Negeri 1 Muara Batang Toru and SMA Negeri 1 Batang Toru on 18–19 October 2025. The programme aimed to enhance public speaking skills among GenRe members and to strengthen the bonds between committee members and participants.

The GenRe programme is a collaborative effort involving Agincourt Resources, the Population Control and Family Planning Agency (PPKB) of Tapanuli Selatan Regency, the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) of North Sumatra Province, and the GenRe Forum of North Sumatra. The activities are also part of efforts to strengthen and enhance the capacity of Youth Information and Counselling Centres (Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja, PIK-R) through the Genre Level Up programme , which consists of 156 students from 13 junior and senior high schools in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru sub-districts.
Superintendent of Community Services at Agincourt Resources, Yayan Nuryawan, explained that the programme reflects the company’s commitment to adolescent health and education through its Community Development and Empowerment Programme (Pengembangan dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, PPM). “The long-term goal of this initiative is to cultivate a Golden Generation with the highest possible education, competitive employment opportunities, healthy lifestyles, planned marriages, and active social engagement. This activity is essential to optimise the role of GenRe in schools,” he said.
Head of the Population Control and Family Planning Agency of Tapanuli Selatan Regency, Ibrahim Lubis, expressed appreciation for the support of Agincourt Resources as a government partner. He emphasised the importance of joint efforts in implementing strategic programmes in Tapanuli Selatan, including the GenRe Programme. “Let us support and carry out this initiative with full enthusiasm for the future of Tapanuli Selatan and a better youth generation. We hope that Agincourt Resources will continue to support positive initiatives that benefit the community,” said Ibrahim Lubis.
