Building economic independence does not begin with capital alone, but with the courage of young people to take their very first step. This spirit came to life in the Announcement and Awarding Ceremony of the Martabe Young Entrepreneur Award 2025, held on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, at the Bagas Silua Meeting Room, Martabe Gold Mine.
This activity serves as the continuation of the Thematic Training previously facilitated by Agincourt Resources in collaboration with the MySkill team from Jakarta. The finalists were the best participants from batches II and III, representing Tapanuli Selatan and Padangsidimpuan. After undergoing three stages of assessment—administrative selection, presentations on 20th–21st October 2025, and field verification on 4th–5th November 2025, a total of ten young entrepreneurs were selected as this year’s finalists.
The event was attended by Senior Manager Community, Christine Pepah, representatives from the Trade and Cooperatives Office for SMEs of Tapanuli Selatan Regency, and members of the judging panel: Dean of the Faculty of Economics at UGN, Agustalinda Nora, and Manager of Bolu Kenanga, Mei Narsih Harahap.

In her remarks, Christine Pepah emphasised that this competition is not merely ceremonial, but a tangible effort to observe the progress participants made after completing the training series. “Training without follow-up will not produce anything. That is why this year we invited only those entrepreneurs who have completed the thematic training series. We want to see the continuation of their efforts. As a partner of the government, we are committed to contributing our best for community empowerment. We hope to see more emerging enterprises around us,” she said.
The announcement of the winners became the highlight of the event. Five young entrepreneurs were selected as the best from First Prize to Second Runner-up based on innovation, business sustainability, financial management, and community impact.
One of the finalists, Bungsu Harahap from “Bungsu Motret,” shared his reflections: “Even though I did not win, I am truly delighted. This competition has helped our business become more widely recognised. For those who have not won, do not be discouraged keep improving. Thank you to Agincourt Resources, because through this programme we have gained so much new knowledge.”
Through the Martabe Young Entrepreneur Award 2025, Agincourt Resources reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a generation of young entrepreneurs who are adaptive, competitive, and motivated to grow alongside their local communities.
