As part of its commitment to supporting the improvement of community healthcare services within its operational areas, Agincourt Resources continues to support the transformation of primary healthcare services through strengthening the implementation of Integrated Primary Care Services (ILP) in Muara Batang Toru District. The programme was carried out on 19 May 2026, involving Hutaraja Community Health Centre and the Muara Manompas Auxiliary Community Health Centre (Pustu) as part of efforts to expand access to more integrated and accessible healthcare services for local communities.

Through the implementation of ILP, healthcare services are no longer focused solely on specific age groups but are instead delivered through a more comprehensive life-cycle approach, covering pregnant women, toddlers, adolescents, working-age adults, and older people. This approach aims to enhance the effectiveness of primary healthcare services so that communities can benefit from faster, more coordinated, and sustainable healthcare provision.
On the occasion, the Deputy Regent of South Tapanuli Regency, H. Jafar Syahbuddin Ritonga, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for Agincourt Resources’ commitment to improving healthcare service quality for communities, particularly in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru Districts. He expressed hope that this initiative would foster sustainable synergy between the private sector and government for a better future for South Tapanuli. He also noted that Agincourt Resources’ contributions had already been widely felt across other sectors, including education, MSMEs, agriculture, and cultural development.
Echoing this sentiment, Agincourt Resources Community Development Manager, Rohani Simbolon, emphasised that the company’s support for the healthcare sector extends beyond infrastructure development to strengthening the capacity of human resources on the ground. She stated that the implementation of this initiative reflects strong collaboration between Agincourt Resources, the Health Office, and Hutaraja Community Health Centre.
“What we do is not only build infrastructure but also strengthen human resources. We and the Community Health Centre continue to assist health cadres in reaching communities directly through house-to-house visits for early detection efforts,” said Rohani. She also highlighted that the company’s presence should create sustainable social impact and that healthcare programmes should not end as ceremonial activities alone, but instead continue delivering tangible benefits to communities.
Agincourt Resources’ support for strengthening primary healthcare services forms part of the company’s Community Development and Empowerment Programme (PPM) within the healthcare sector. Previously, the company had also supported healthcare service development through strengthening community health posts (Posyandu), providing specialist doctors, and enhancing healthcare facilities across Batang Toru and surrounding areas.

The ILP programme is expected to strengthen the quality of basic healthcare services at Community Health Centres (Puskesmas) and Auxiliary Community Health Centres (Pustu), while also bringing healthcare access closer to communities living around the Martabe Gold Mine operational area. In addition to improving service effectiveness, this approach also supports promotive and preventive healthcare efforts, enabling communities to receive more optimal healthcare services from an early stage.
Through collaboration with local government authorities, healthcare professionals, and local healthcare facilities, Agincourt Resources continues to support the development of a more adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable healthcare system as part of the company’s contribution to improving community quality of life.
