As part of its ongoing commitment to public health in remote areas, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with the South Tapanuli Regency Health Office and the South Tapanuli Regional General Hospital (RSUD), held a Free Medical Service and Specialist Doctor Outreach on 30 June 2025. The event took place at the Tanjung Dolok Village Hall in Marancar Subdistrict, where a total of 193 residents benefited from the program.
Medical examinations were conducted directly by three specialists: dr. Abdus Somad Harahap, Sp.PD (Internal Medicine), dr. Ryan Andrian, Sp.OG (Obstetrics and Gynecology), and dr. Syahreza, M.Ked(Ped), Sp.A (Pediatrics). In addition to consultations and examinations, participants also received supplementary services such as ultrasound (USG) for pregnant women, electrocardiograms (EKG) for cardiac concerns, and blood tests for glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid levels. Patients were also provided with supplementary nutrition packages (PMT) to support their dietary needs.
Community enthusiasm was overwhelmingly positive. Aisyah, a resident of Tanjung Dolok Village, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to consult directly with a pediatrician for her child. “This specialist service was truly helpful and the doctors were kind and approachable. I hope programs like this will continue in the future,” she said.
The event was attended by representatives from Agincourt Resources and key local stakeholders. In her remarks, Rohani Simbolon, Manager of Community Development at Agincourt Resources, stated, “We believe that a Company’s presence must bring tangible benefits to the community. This program is not merely a ceremonial initiative but a sincere form of care rooted in the awareness that access to quality healthcare remains a challenge in remote areas. We hope this initiative not only provides short-term relief but also strengthens collaborative efforts among the company, government, and the community to create a healthier and more prosperous life.”
Ahmad Suaib Harianja, Head of the South Tapanuli Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD), also expressed his appreciation for the initiative. In his remarks, he stated, “We are truly grateful for Agincourt Resources’ concern in delivering health services that directly address the needs of the people. Programs like this not only support medical treatment but also demonstrate that collaboration between government and the private sector can bring about positive change amid limitations. We hope the outcomes of this program will be followed up by the local health centers to ensure long-term impact.”
Acting Head of the South Tapanuli Regency Health Office, dr. Emilda Hasibuan, also conveyed her appreciation for the company’s contribution. This initiative serves as a concrete demonstration of Agincourt Resources’ support for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG No. 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG No. 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
