As part of efforts to strengthen primary healthcare preparedness and improve emergency response capabilities in South Tapanuli Regency, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with the South Tapanuli District Health Office and CV Eldwin Cipta Kompetensi (ECK) of North Sumatra Province, organised a Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) Training for nurses from Community Health Centres (Puskesmas) across the regency. The training took place from 11–16 November 2025 at Syakira Aek Sabaon, Marancar Sub-district.
The programme aims to enhance the skills of healthcare personnel in providing first aid for trauma and cardiovascular emergencies critical competencies for saving lives, preventing disability, and meeting Puskesmas accreditation standards.

This initiative responds to the limited number of BTCLS-certified nurses currently serving in South Tapanuli. Through this programme, Agincourt Resources reaffirms its commitment to improving the quality of healthcare services in its operational areas, particularly by strengthening the capacity of frontline medical workers.
A total of 25 nurses participated in the intensive training, which included theoretical sessions, hands-on emergency response practice, and assessments comprising both practical and written examinations. The entire programme was delivered by certified instructors from CV Eldwin Cipta Kompetensi. At the end of the training, all participants successfully passed and were awarded official certificates issued by the relevant ministry.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the South Tapanuli District Health Office, dr. Sri Khairunnisa, M.H., M.K.M., who expressed her appreciation for the ongoing collaboration with Agincourt Resources. “Many Puskesmas still require BTCLS-certified nurses to meet accreditation standards. This training is essential, as BTCLS is a fundamental competency required of healthcare personnel in emergency services. With the support of PT Agincourt Resources, we hope to see more nurses who are competent and ready to serve the community in critical situations,” she said.
Meanwhile, Christine Pepah, Senior Manager Community at Agincourt Resources, emphasised that this programme aligns with the company’s commitment to strengthening the local healthcare sector surrounding the mine’s operational area. “This BTCLS Training reflects the strong synergy between Agincourt Resources and the South Tapanuli Health Office. Enhancing nurses’ competencies will reinforce healthcare services at the Puskesmas level, improve medical preparedness, and deliver direct benefits to community members requiring prompt and accurate emergency assistance,” she stated.
